SPORTS AND GAMES AS A CULTURE

Our vidyalaya is one of the best vidyalayas in the jammu region in the field of sports and games . We do sports not just for the sake of sports but we take sports as a culture , as a religion. Sports and Games unites each and every individual who plays and even watches it .
Our motto is to make each and every child physically and mentally fit through active participation in sports and games.
We organise various level of competition allround the year starting from .
1. Inter group competition ----- In December.
2 . Intra class competition. ----- In January .
3. Inter class competition. ----- In April .
4. Inter house competition. ---- In July .
5. Division wise athletics meet----- In August
6. Regional meet ----- In September.

Preparation for Regional sports meet,09 started from April09,Interclass matches for class VI to XII were organized and various games were undertaken such as Football, cricket, handball, Kho-Kho etc. in the month of April.

1.      In July inter house matches for various games were organized for secondary section.

2.      In August sports day, which was basically an athletic meet, was organized by dividing whole school into 7 divisions according to age.

3.      In September, our students participated in Regional Sports Meet in various events like:- Football, Handball etc and individual games like Athletics, Taekwando, Judo,TT etc.

4.      Training of games and sports activities including coaching are going on regularly /activities are as per the schedule and also after working hours.

 

Achievements:-

 

 

 Our vidyalaya won silver medals in handball girls, football boys and  taekwando.

 

Besides this, at Regional level our vidyalaya won 3 Bronze medals in Swimming boys.

 

 1 Gold and 1  Bronze in Judo boys.

 

 1 silver and 1 bronze in Taekwando,

 

 3 silver medals in Athletics boys.

 

 2 bronze medals in TT girls,

 

 3 silver medals in athletic girls .

Last but not least we want to make our students ideal citizens and good human beings which only sports can teach . Winning and loosing is just a part of the game the main aim is to channalize all the energies in the positive direction .

Cowards never start , weaks die along the road ,

it is the man who have the courage to win, wins the race .

Lets play, Lets feel the pain of falling to earth and still rising again and again ,

 Let this be our religion and let it flourish in every part of the world.
