On 8th April 2010(F.N) the Head examiner, Ms. Reeta Mehta ALT (G) & PGT Hindi
K.V.3 Amritsar reached in K.V.No. 3 Pathankot, to Plan and facilitate the camp
arrangement programmes.
Guides along with their escorts started reporting at the venue in the afternoon of 8th
April, 2010. The trainers of Distt 1 and Distt 2 also reached in the afternoon.
Guides and escorts were registered, rooms allotted , beddings, sheets and buckets, and
mosquito coils were provided by the evening.
A meeting of the trainers, escorts and all guides was called by the venue director
Principal Ms. T. P Kaur to give instructions for the camp rules.
After an early dinner, lights were switched off.

Report of the first day
(9.04.2010)
On 9th April,2010 the Tritya Sopan Testing Camp of guides started with flag hoisting
ceremony by the Chief Guest col. Sandeep Sharma and Major Anuvandana Jaggi who
were given Hearty welcome in the computer lab by the venue Director, principal Mrs.
T.P Kaur. She welcomed the guests by presenting scarves. The trainers were also
welcomed by scarf ceremony. In this training programme the 111guides from 29 kvs of
Jammu region participated.
A gala cultural programme was organized by the students of the host vidyalaya. After
this, the chief guest declared Tritya sopan testing camp open. The guides were blessed by
the principal and the chief guest.A small tea party was also arranged for the distinguished
guests.After refreshment, the trainers were given the responsibility for holding the Tritya
sopan testing camp. All the guides were divided into 14 different patrols & were given
the name of flowers.
The guides made chest cards. Then Pravesh test was held and Pratham sopan test was
conducted after lunch. After the day’s various activities the guides enjoyed by singing
songs & practised various activities to be presented during camp fire.

second day  |
Report of the second day
(10.04.2010)
On the second day of the testing camp, the guides started their day with BP six exercises.
It was performed patrol wise and the evaluation was done side by side by the examiners.
This was followed by the lay out of the rooms in which the guides laid down their rooms
with accessories that had been used by them resourcefully.
Exhibits related to the guide camp were made by the guides under guidance supervision
of camp area. These were inspected by the distt Commissioners {guides} Jammu region,
Mrs.Meena Kulshreshtha and the venue director principal ,K V 3.Mamun Cantt , Mrs T P
Kaur . They heartily appreciated the work done by the guides. Later Ms .Rita Mehta took
session on health and to know direction with the help of a compass. After that all tests of
dwitiya sopan were conducted by all examiners. Side by side practicals were also taken
up in knotting, first aid and camp craft. After lunch, activity for preparation of camp fire
started. The grand camp fire was organized in the evening with full zeal and enthusiasm.
Mrs Jaswant Minhas , Divisional organizing commissioner, scouts guides Jammu region
was the chief guest of the evening. She appreciated the talent of the guides and asked all
the escorts and children to extend their full cooperation in making this moment a great
success.
The venue principal T.P Kaur welcomed Mrs. Jaswant Minhas from the core of her
heart and also blessed the guides for a better future ahead. The head trainer, Ms Rita
Mehta formally thanked the chief guest of the grand camp fire.

third day  |
Report of the third day (11.04.2010)
After the rouse , B.P Six exercise, flag hosting, prayer and morning assembly was done
by the guides in routine schedule
In the testing for Tritya Sopan which started patrol wise, the tests included various
activities like knotting, making tresses, ladders, lashing and tent making, pitching.
Ms. Rajni Gupta, trainer, gave the patrols practice in march past.
Ms.Gursharan HPS and Ms.Anju Jamwal tested the guides for camp craft and
pioneering. Ms.Nimmi Kaul, HWB and Ms.Reena verma gave the children tests in
first aid and estimation. The venue director with the head examiner Ms.Rita Mehta
inspected the gadgets made by children. she blessed and encouraged the guides for their
commendable work.
After lunch, a hike to Sati Mata Mandir which is about 5km from the school was
conducted. The guides learnt about woodcraft signs, enacted different personality roles,
sang bhajans and songs and enjoyed them selves. After coming back in the evening, they
deposited their log books with the examiners. These were checked and signed by the
concerned trainers.

final day
| Report of the final day (12.04.2010)
After the rouse at 6 A.M , all examiners escorts and guides assembled for the All faith
prayer. Ms. Romi Amrit , PGT Bio, K.V.NO. 3 Mamoon cantt was the guest of honor
for the Sarve Dharm Prathana which was followed by breakfast. In the Valedictory
function. Col. Niloy Paul representative of the Chairman VMC was kind enough to
Spare time to be the chief guest of the function. He distributed Tritya Sopan certificates
to the guides and blessed them.The ceremony of flag lowering was performed and the
flag handed over to the venue in charge.
The children left the vidyalaya with heavy hearts after bidding farewell to their
examiners and the hosts. The escorts and the training team also collected their relieving
orders and left the school with lots and lots of thanks for the excellent hospitality
extended during their stay in the camp.
